Silver Bullet Ceramic – high impedance harmonica microphones
Silver Bullet | Ceramic high-Z mic microphone has a robust high impedance ceramic element that provides a rich sound texture and harmonic content also with headroom for distortion straight out of the box. The element uses the same old technology as the original crystal microphones from the 50′s but with the benefit of durability. It’s a fairly clean sound but when you cup it firmly, and with a little help from the amplifier, you can get some very tasty, creamy overdrive without the annoying mid-range honk you get from a lot of microphones. The Ceramic high-Z mic can also be used with affect pedals. Ceramic microphones need to be matched to an amp which offers a high impedance socket – sometimes labelled “passive”. Silver Bullet Ceramic mic’s are available with and without gain control.
